I.GATEWAY OF INDIA
Situated at Apollo Bunder is the Gateway of India.
Its height is approximately 26 meters. This Trimphal archway was designed by George
Wikket During the 16th Century. The beautiful gateway was Built to commemorate
the visit of king Geogre V And Queen Mary to India in 1911. The Cryptomoresque Archway
welcomed numerous viceroys, Governors and top civil servants as they disembarked by launch
from their P O steamers.

II. ELEPHANTA CAVES
The Elephanta Island is also known as Gharapuri. It is situated about 10 kms
from Gateway of India.
It is just an hour away from gateway of India by boat. The attractive rock cut temple on

magnificent 18 feet high, three headed bust of Shiva.

III.JEHANGIR ART GALLARY

IV. PRINCE
OF WALES MUSEUM
This famous structure is built in the Indo-saracenic Style by Wikket in honour of King
George V, when he visited India. It was he who had laid the Foundation stone in 1905. The
attractive museum has three main sections Art, Archaelogy and Natural History. It is
filled with fine collection of Chinese Jade pieces, oil painting and miniature painting.
One should not miss a miniature model of the Parsi Tower of silence, as admission to the
actual tower Is not available to non-Parsi.

V.RAJABAICLOCK TOWER
This attractive tower is situated in the gardens of the Mumbai University. This 280 feet
tower gives the fine view of the city. The top of the cuppola is ornamented with 16

VI. MUMBAI HIGH COURT.
